ABOUT US

Who we are

TESOL Society of Bangladesh is an equal opportunity platform for practitioners and aspiring English language teachers of all levels of education in Bangladesh with over 2500 members on various social media platforms. We are registered as a voluntary association of English language teachers with registration no. S-13466/2020.

The local chapter of the global TESOL community was first conceived on 18 December 2014. Since then, the association has been working to build a sustainable professional network of English language teachers across the country who are dedicated to the advancement of English language teaching and learning in Bangladesh.

To carry out our goals, we have two executive committees, various teacher networks from schools, madrasas, and university levels, six SIGs, and one journal called TESOL Bangladesh Journal. We have dedicated teams to handle memberships, online and in-person events, publications, finances, SIGs, funded projects, yearly student conferences, and international conferences. Our work is supported through membership subscriptions, sponsorships, collaborations with various educational and training institutions, and conference surpluses.
