TESOL BD delegation meets the Chairman of UGC
A delegation from the TESOL Society of Bangladesh (TESOL BD) paid a courtesy call on the Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh today and held a productive discussion on the upcoming TESOL BD–ULAB International Conference on English for Specific Purposes (ESP) 2026, scheduled to be held on 9 October 2026 at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB).
During the meeting, TESOL BD representatives shared the vision, objectives, and significance of the conference, which aims to bring together academics, researchers, teacher educators, policymakers, and practitioners from Bangladesh and abroad to discuss emerging trends, innovations, and challenges in ESP teaching, learning, assessment, and research.
The Chairman expressed his appreciation for TESOL BD’s continued contributions to English language education and professional development in Bangladesh.
TESOL BD extends its sincere gratitude to the Chairman of the UGC for his valuable time, encouragement, and support. The Society looks forward to organizing a successful international conference that will contribute to the advancement of ESP scholarship and practice in Bangladesh and beyond.
